Tell us about your book:
I Love You, Be Careful is a heartwarming and uplifting book.  It shows a series of pictures of one family and their children as they grow. With each picture there is the phrase, I  Love You, Be Careful, and shows the many times in a family’s life that they are telling their loved ones to be careful. Cady Driver, the illustrator did a great job at making the illustrations come to life and they are beautiful. This book is nice as a gift, because it has a page to personalize and as one mother of a bride said, “I had tears as I read this, good tears, but sentimental tears when I thought of all the different ages my daughter went through, and it also shows a son like mine in the military going off to duty”.
How long did it take to write the book?
It took Joan and I about two months . Then we found our illustrator for the book, Cady Driver, and we all worked together with the publishing house.
What inspired you to write the book?
As we get older, we realize how important our loved ones are and that you must cherish as much time with them as possible, and not forget to say I love you. One day as we were talking on the phone, Joan’s husband left for work, and we both began talking about how important it is to make time to say goodbye and to tell them you love them and to be careful.

Talk about the writing process. Did you have a writing routine? Did you do any research, and if so, what did that involve?
We had a blast writing the book. We both like to laugh and are zany, so we would talk  really daily, and go over ideas. It was fun.
What do you hope your readers come away with after reading your book?
We hope that they take the time to tell those they love that they are loved and to be careful. We hope that they slowly go through the book to see the circle of life in it from the first picture of a couple at a hospital to have a baby, to the last picture at the same hospital the couple being grand parents this time hearing their son-in-law saying be careful to their daughter and the older gentleman saying be careful to his wife…..We hope they say this would make a sentimental gift for my mom, friend, grandparent, or husband. Our dream is to have it in Hallmark someday.
Where can we go to buy your book?,,, Barnes and, and other online sites.  The book is available as an e-book and in soft cover,. It is also available as a hardcover through Xlibris only. It makes a great book to send as an e-book book gift to a relative as a card.
